I have listed a few of the most commonly asked questions but please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
How do you take the prints for personalised jewellery?
Fingerprints are taken using a special putty which hardens into a solid mould capturing even the smallest of details. Once hardened I can then make an exact replica of your fingertip (reverse mould) which I can press into the silver.
Hand, foot and paw prints are taken using inkless wipes and paper which are non toxic, easy to use and mess free! The images are then digitally scaled down in size to make a mini replica which can be transferred onto the silver.
Can you use prints that I already have?
In most cases I can use existing prints and prints taken by other methods. I would just need to take a look at them before you place your order to make sure that they are suitable. You do not need to send me the original, just a photocopy will do or you could scan the prints into your computer and e-mail them to me.
Do I need to come to you to have my prints taken for personalised jewellery?
No, I can send you a print kit which has full instructions and everything you need to be able to take good quality prints in the comfort of your own home.
If you would prefer me to take your prints you can visit me at a local event, or arrange a suitable time for me to visit you in your home if you stay in the Glasgow area.
