Christmas is a magical time of year, especially with young children. Our keepsake artists have been working hard to make precious keepsakes for families up and down the country in time for Christmas. Each keepsake artists runs their own business, with the help and support of the Keepsake Association, and many have young children themselves.
Gemma from Lasting Touch, is now on her third Christmas as a keepsake artist. She’s super organised and has been really busy over the last few weeks, making order after order in plenty of time for Christmas. She’s created some beautiful items and is just about to close her order books for this year, leaving her plenty of time to enjoy Christmas with her family.
She explains what she loves about it: The thing I love most about being a Mum in business is being able to work from my living room, never having to miss an important assembly and teaching my kids that you don’t have to rely on anyone else for an income, if you can’t find a job that suits you, simply create your own.
Natasha from Cheekies Treasures joined the Keepsake Association six months ago, and has had to deal with getting her business up and running, children with chicken pox, and the Christmas rush! She had a beautiful stall at the Fleet Christmas market and is now the proud owner of a copyright for this gorgeous design.
Being a mum and running a business isn’t easy, but it does mean there’s no boss to ask when you want to go to see a nativity play, you don’t have to save all your holidays for childcare, and you can put in as many or as few hours as you choose to fit in with your family and what you need to earn.
We love helping people to enjoy flexibility, creativity, and have successful businesses. If you’d like to find out more about joining 50 other keepsake artists and fitting in a business around your family, please download more information from the bar at the top of the screen or get in touch.
