From Family Ties ... babybloggers is born!

Babybloggers, my new creation of functional baby and teen items was put into motion in the Fall of 2009 from the encouragement of my family to pursue my dream.

Every summer my family (7 sisters) gathers at Rehobeth Beach, Delaware to get caught up with their families and plan their future.  I travel from Denver,  Colorado with my husband and three children to join my six sisters along with many nieces and nephews for a week of summer, family fun.  I have always discussed my dream with my sisters of coming up with an idea that would satisfy my creative side.  I confess, some of my ideas were, as my mother would say, “crazy”.  As a devoted mother, I felt the need to be available to my eldest son who was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  It was very important to me to spend time with him and help raise money for the Rocky Mountain Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.  While sitting on the beach, watching 6 teenagers texting their friends, the idea of fun text messages on a line of clothing for infants and teens was born!  My husband encouraged me to “stop talking” and “just do it”!

In the fall of 2009, from my laptop computer in the dining room, I dove into getting my line to market not knowing if it would be accepted.  The response has been overwhelming!  With the help of my partner Mary Beth Fleming, my sisters and of course my husband I am excited and happy to embark on this new challenge.
